Every week, WoW Insider brings you Totem talk for the shaman. Want to be a sultan of swing healing? A champion of Chain Heal? Totem Talk: Restoration, brought to you by Joe Perez (otherwise known as Lodur from World of Matticus and InternetDragons.TV), shows you how.
Well, I don't know about you but I'm still very excited about the announcement of Warlords of Draenor. I mean, it was honestly the big news from BlizzCon 2013 and the feeling is ...

The World of Warcraft is an expansive universe. You're playing the game, you're fighting the bosses, you know the how -- but do you know the why? Each week, Matthew Rossi and Anne Stickney make sure you Know Your Lore by covering the history of the story behind World of Warcraft.
Y'all know the drill here - this is a speculative jam. Nothing in this is to be taken as what Blizzard is ac...

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi is your "Hey, it's that guy" guy today.
So yeah, I totally forgot I was supposed to write this today. I was running some dungeons, and suddenly this bolt of terror rocketed down my spine. After I dealt with that ghost, I remembered I...

- WoW Moviewatch: Returning WoW Players10 December 2013, 12:00 am
If you've been gone from WoW for a while, jumping back into the game can be like diving into a shockingly cold pool. There's the shock at new races, the shock at talent changes, and plenty of other shock. It's shocking, is what I'm trying to say.
Slightly Impressive has captured the experience in Returning WoW Players, a sort of ode to the staggered veteran coming back to Azeroth. It's the kind of commentary that Slightly Impressive is really good at, so take the time to kick back and wonder j...
- Officers' Quarters: 20-man misconceptions9 December 2013, 11:00 pm
Every Monday, Scott Andrews contributes Officers' Quarters, a column about the ins and outs of guild leadership. He is the author of The Guild Leader's Handbook.
Several weeks ago I wrote an article about how Blizzard could help guilds make the transition from 10-man heroic to 20-man mythic raiding. The comments on that article were eye-opening to me. In the interest of promoting dialogue about the new raiding system and supporting the guild officers who will make it work, I'd like to clear up...
- Elder Charms, LFR loot, and perception of the doubly random7 December 2012, 1:00 am
Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Cheats, Raiding, Mists of Pandaria
One of the things I've noticed since Mists of Pandaria launched is rooted in a quirk of human psychology. The commonplace becomes expected, the expected becomes tedious, and what was once a reward seems less so. I'm talking about what happens when you use an Elder Charm of Good Fortune to get an extra roll on loot for a boss, whether it be in LFR or a guild raid, and you get extra gold instead of an item, or an item you alread...
- 5 tips for playing WoW with a baby on your chest14 August 2012, 1:00 am
Filed under: Cheats, Events, Humor
Seems like a lot of WoW Insider has spontaneously had a baby recently. OK, not spontaneous. A child isn't the sort of thing that creeps up on you. There's warning, is what I'm saying. You have time to plan. And that time's pretty important, because once your bundle of joy is in this world, things get a whole lot more complex. Like playing WoW.
I'm obviously not one of those folks who say you have to quit your gaming life the second you have a child, but ther...
- Blizzard issues official statement on Raid Finder exploit consequences6 December 2011, 8:00 pm
Filed under: Cheats, Blizzard, News items, Raiding
Earlier in the day, raiding group Paragon apologized for exploiting a bug in the Raid Finder tool that allowed their raiders to obtain loot from a boss more than once in a lockout period. Blizzard has followed up with a statement of its own, explaining that people who exploited the bug in a similar manner will be receiving temporary suspensions.

- Holiday gift ideas for World of Warcraft players9 December 2013, 8:00 pm
Filed under: Events, News items, Arts and Crafts
Tis the season for Winter Veil -- or for those of us out here in the real world, a variety of gift-giving holidays. While getting gifts may be as easy as waiting for them to arrive, giving clever gifts that show you care takes a little more thought. It's not too late to start picking out gifts for your loved ones -- and WoW Insider is here to help you out.
Digital goods like pets and mounts may be all well and good, but there's a vast variety of...
- The NSA is still in your WoW, watching you kill internet dragons9 December 2013, 5:40 pm
Filed under: News items
Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor, has released information saying that world governments are spying on people in World of Warcraft, Second Life, and Xbox Live. The governments believe the games and communication systems can be used for terrorism.
Blizzard responded to ProPublica about the leak, saying that they "are unaware of any surveillance taking place. If it was, it would have been done without our knowledge or permission."
- Patch 5.4.2 hits live realms this week9 December 2013, 2:00 pm
Filed under: News items, Mists of Pandaria
The realms will be coming down for an extended maintenance on the morning of December 10 to apply patch 5.4.2. The major new features of this patch are the cross-realm raid browser and cross-realm mailing of account-bound items. Also added in this patch is the jet-powered Iron Skyreaver mount, the source of which remains a mystery.
You will find the cross-realm raid browser in the raid tab of your social screen by clicking the "Other Raids" button. Her...

Gratz had a big week too! It marked its one-year anniversary, and Lackinganame even created a video to celebrate. Plus, there were some pretty big plot developments this week!
- Some forum advice for the next Ghostcrawler5 December 2013, 10:00 pm
Filed under: Humor
With Ghostcrawler's departure from Blizzard Entertainment on the horizon, one of the burning questions in everyone's minds is "who will be his replacement?" Well, I personally have no idea, but no matter who it may be, player Lubricious has taken it upon himself to offer some advice for that fortunate (or unfortunate) soul, endorsed by the man himself.
How to Ghostcrawler, by Lubricious. Pretty much spot on. http://t.co/Qho6x8qoZ2

- Today is your last day to buy WoW for $4.99, or some sweet Halloween snack plates2 December 2013, 5:00 pm
Filed under: News items, Humor
If you're looking for a cheap copy of World of Warcraft you're in luck. Today is the last day that you can pick up the game for a whopping $4.99. That'll get you levels 1-85, and all the game's content up through Cataclysm. Mists of Pandaria is also on sale for $9.99.
Now you might be asking yourself, "$4.99? If it was only $4.95 I might go for it, but I can buy so many cooler things for $4.99." That's a very reasonable thing to think about, but let's look at some...
